He further stated that his wife, Jyoti Singh, suddenly arrived at his house to meet him, where they had a conversation lasting about one and a half hours. The police were also present during this time.
Pawan said, 'Yesterday morning, when you came to my society, I respectfully invited you to my house. We talked for about 1.5 hours. But you repeatedly reiterated the same thing — ‘Make me contest elections’ — which is not within my power.' He also clarified that he did not call the police; rather, they were already present for security reasons to prevent any untoward incident.
The Two Came Face-to-Face in Lucknow
On Sunday, Jyoti Singh arrived at the Celebrity Garden residence near Lulu Mall in Lucknow to meet her husband. The police were already present there. After the meeting, Jyoti shared a video on social media stating that the police took her to the police station. In the video, Jyoti was seen saying, 'Hello, we have arrived at Pawan ji's house. We came here at your suggestion. But Pawan ji had already called the police. Now, you, the public, decide how we will get justice.'
The female police officer present in the video also stated that since their divorce case is pending in court, Jyoti's presence there was not appropriate.
Jyoti Singh's Retort: 'The Truth Will Come Out Before the Public'
After Pawan Singh's post, Jyoti Singh also responded on her social media. She wrote in her Instagram comment section, 'What is true and what is false, our revered public has the right to know this. You also come before the media, I will also sit. Let both of us tell the truth together. This is no longer a matter confined within four walls.'
If you accept me as your wife for life, I will not contest elections. But if you want to use your own people for power, that is wrong. She also claimed that the entire incident of her arrival and departure is recorded on CCTV cameras.
