PM Modi Brazil Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, late Sunday night, where he will lead India at the 17th BRICS summit. This is PM Modi's fourth visit to Brazil at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. This visit is considered very important to give a new direction to the growing strategic partnership between India and Brazil.

The Indian community warmly welcomed him at Galeão International Airport in Rio de Janeiro. In a brief interaction at the airport, the Prime Minister said that along with participating in the BRICS summit, he is also keen to have in-depth discussions with the Brazilian leadership on issues of mutual interest.

Shared Vision on Global Challenges from the BRICS Platform

Leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa are participating in this summit in Rio de Janeiro. Topics such as global economic instability, climate change, sustainable development, and investment in emerging markets are included in the agenda this time. Prime Minister Modi's focus will be on strengthening the voice of the interests of developing countries, so that India's role and influence on multilateral platforms can be further strengthened.

According to sources, the Prime Minister will also hold several bilateral talks with leaders of member countries during the summit, which are likely to include discussions on potential agreements regarding trade and investment cooperation.

State talks in Brasilia, bilateral relations to get a boost

After the BRICS summit, Prime Minister Modi will leave for Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. Here, he will hold bilateral talks with President Lula da Silva. During this time, discussions will be held to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in areas like trade, defense, energy, space science, health, and agriculture. Especially, many important announcements are expected regarding new possibilities in the defense and energy sectors between India and Brazil. In addition, the two leaders may also encourage joint initiatives in the field of digital technology and green energy.

Efforts will be seen during this visit to make the 'Strategic Partnership' established between India and Brazil in 2006 more comprehensive in accordance with the needs of the new era. India hopes that deeper economic and technical relations with a Latin American power center like Brazil will further strengthen the perspective of the Global South.

Engagement with the Indian community is also on the agenda

During his stay, Prime Minister Modi will also meet the people of the Indian community living in Brazil. Discussions on cultural and social cooperation will be held during his meeting with representatives of Indian diaspora groups. PM Modi may also announce some new initiatives to connect the youth of Indian origin with the development of India.
