From Rejection to Startup Head: Ragini Das's Inspiring Journey to Google India

Ragini Das of Gurugram has proven with her remarkable career story that any dream can come true with hard work and perseverance. Ragini has recently been appointed as the Startup Head by Google India. The remarkable thing is that the same Google company had rejected her in 2013.

Ragini Das: Getting a job at Google is a dream for many, and now this dream has come true for Ragini Das, a resident of Gurugram. Google India has appointed Ragini as the Startup Head. However, did you know that the same Google company had rejected Ragini in 2013? 

Ragini herself shared the interesting story of her journey through a social media post. Before Google India, Ragini had worked for several major companies, and she is also the co-founder of leap.club.

Ragini's Education and Early Career

Ragini Das was born in Gurugram. She completed her school education from Chettinad Vidyashram in Chennai. After that, she earned a bachelor's degree in Business from Lancaster University. During her university years, Ragini also served as the Cultural Secretary of Chennai Vidyashram. While graduating, she interned at Standard Chartered Bank and other major institutions. During this period, Ragini gained experience in market research and preparing business plans in India.

In 2012, Ragini joined Trident Group India and was given responsibility for marketing in Europe and America. In 2013, Ragini was appointed as Sales and Marketing Manager at Zomato. During her six-year tenure at Zomato, she worked in roles such as Account Manager and Area Sales Manager. In 2017, Ragini became part of the Zomato Gold founding team and launched Zomato Gold in 10 international markets. This included countries like Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Qatar, and Lebanon.

Co-founder of leap.club

In 2020, Ragini began contributing to the women's startup sector as the co-founder of leap.club. She helped thousands of women launch their startups and grow their businesses. Additionally, Ragini has also served as the Chairperson of FICCI's Startup Women Committee. She has made significant contributions to women's entrepreneurship and leadership.

The biggest turning point in Ragini's career came when Google India appointed her as the Startup Head. This is a personal and professional triumph for her, as the same company had rejected her in 2013. Ragini shared about this experience that the rejection motivated her to work harder and improve herself. Today, she is joining the very company that once did not give her an opportunity.
