Rahul Gandhi Accuses Election Commission of Voter List Manipulation

Rahul Gandhi has made serious allegations against the Election Commission, stating that voters' names have been removed under the SIR process in Bihar and that the electoral process is being manipulated. Pressure increases on the government.

Rahul EC Allegation: Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has made serious allegations against the Election Commission, stating that the election system in the country is being tampered with. He made this comment in reference to the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Bihar, in which 5.2 million names have been removed from the voter list.

Rahul Gandhi said that this is not limited to Bihar but that the election system is being tampered with in states like Maharashtra and Karnataka as well. He claimed that one crore new voters suddenly got added in Maharashtra, but when Congress asked the Election Commission for information, they were refused access to the voter list and video footage.

Questions Raised on Amendment of Voter List in Bihar

Rahul Gandhi alleges that the Election Commission has accelerated the process of changing the voter list in Bihar since the opposition exposed the sudden increase in the number of new voters. He said that this is not just a matter of cutting or adding names, but an attempt to affect the entire democratic system.

He said that the Election Commission is doing all this deliberately because the opposition has understood their strategy. The Congress leader said that his party selected a Lok Sabha constituency and closely examined it for six months. They tried to find out how new votes are added and what kind of technical tricks can affect election results.

Questions Raised in Maharashtra Too, Allegations of Changing Rules

Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Election Commission has also committed serious irregularities in Maharashtra. He said that when we asked the commission for election-related videos and voter lists, the commission initially stalled and then changed the rules so that they could not share the information. He said that this process should be called an insult to democracy.

Gandhi said, "We requested the commission to show us the voter list. We were not shown it. We said show us the videos. They changed the rules and stole the election."

Signs of Fraud Found in Karnataka Too

The Congress leader said that Congress has also found evidence of tampering with the election system in Karnataka. Rahul claimed that his team caught the Election Commission's strategy during the investigation and that he will soon make the related evidence public. He said, "We now know how this game is being played. Now we are ready to respond to it."

Opposition Protest in Parliament

During the monsoon session of Parliament, opposition parties have questioned the functioning of the Election Commission and demanded a response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in both houses of Parliament. Their demand is that the Prime Minister should clarify the situation to the country regarding the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the ongoing SIR process in Bihar.
