Lover, Not Wife, Mastermind Behind Raja Raghuvanshi Murder: Police

The Raja Raghuvanshi murder case continues to reveal shocking details. The initial assumption that Sonam Raghuvanshi was the mastermind behind the killing has been completely overturned by the police investigation.

Crime News: The police investigation into the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case has taken a surprising turn. While initially presented as a conspiracy by his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, the investigation has now revealed that the mastermind is Sonam's lover, Raj Kushwaha. Police have arrested five accused, and the facts revealed during interrogation are not only sensational but also demonstrate the meticulous planning of the murder.

Not a Contract Killing, but a Personal Conspiracy

Police clearly state that Raja's murder was not a professional contract killing. The killers were Raj Kushwaha's personal friends and relatives who assisted him out of friendship and emotional attachment. These include Vishal, Anand, and Aakash, along with a cousin. The murder plot was hatched months in advance. According to the investigation, there were a total of four attempts to murder Raja, with the first three failing.

  • February 2025, First Plan: To make Sonam appear missing and dispose of her body in a river.
  • Second Plan: To burn a woman's corpse along with a scooter to make it appear that Sonam was dead. Both plans failed due to technical reasons.
  • May 11: During this time, Sonam married Raja Raghuvanshi, giving a new twist to the murder plot.
  • May 19: Sonam and Raja went to Assam to visit the Kamakhya Devi Temple. A third attempt on his life was planned in Guwahati, but circumstances were unfavorable.

The Web of Death in Sohra

Finally, the fourth attempt succeeded in Sohra (Cherrapunji). Sonam lured Raja there for a trip, while her accomplices were already present.

  • Sonam met with Raj's three accomplices at a parking lot.
  • Raja was attacked in the bushes and thrown into a ravine.
  • Sonam was present during the murder and assisted the accused.

Attempt to Destroy Evidence

After the murder, the accused made every effort to destroy evidence:

  • Sonam gave her raincoat to Aakash because his shirt was bloodstained.
  • The raincoat was discarded near an AV point.
  • Sonam fled the scene on the scooter, later driven by Aakash.
  • The scooter rented by Raja was abandoned near the border by Anand.

Sonam's Escape in a Burqa, on Raj's Instructions

  • After the murder, Sonam began her escape wearing a burqa.
  • The burqa was provided to Sonam by Vishal.
  • Sonam boarded a bus from Guwahati, traveling through Siliguri, Patna, Ara, Lucknow, and finally reaching Indore.
  • Raj himself advised Sonam to flee to Indore when he got wind of the police raid.

A Fake Kidnapping Plan

The police were acting swiftly after the murder. As soon as Raj learned that the police were closing in, he instructed Sonam to create a new charade. Sonam was told to call her family and claim she had escaped from kidnappers. This plan also failed due to the police's proactive measures. Five accused are currently in police custody:

  • Raj Kushwaha (Mastermind)
  • Sonam Raghuvanshi
  • Vishal
  • Anand
  • Aakash

The Raja Raghuvanshi murder case is not just a brutal killing of a husband; it is the culmination of conspiracies committed in the name of trust, love, and faith. As the police investigation progresses, many more layers of this case are likely to unfold.
