Didwana: A sensational incident unfolded on Tuesday morning in the Station Road area of Didwana-Kuchaman district, Rajasthan. Ramesh Rulania, a well-known businessman in the city, was shot dead while exercising at a gym. Rulania owned a bike showroom and a hotel. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police immediately cordoned off the entire area and commenced an investigation.
Firing on Ramesh Rulania at the Gym
On Tuesday morning, around 7:30 AM, Ramesh Rulania was exercising at the gym as usual. During this time, an unidentified assailant suddenly opened fire on him. Rulania collapsed on the spot after being shot, and the attacker fled the scene. People nearby immediately rushed him to the district hospital, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Police stated that other people were also present in the gym at the time of the incident. Witnessing the event, people were gripped with panic, and chaos ensued at the scene. The primary police team cordoned off the area and began investigating, including scrutinizing CCTV footage.
Extortion Threat and Murder
According to police sources, Ramesh Rulania had received an extortion threat from the Rohit Godara gang a few days prior. This gang has demanded money from several businessmen across the state. Officials believe that this murder could be a consequence of that threat.
Investigating officers stated that the matter has been taken seriously, and all possible links of the gang are being pursued. They are also checking if similar threats were being issued against other businessmen.
City Blockade to Search for Accused
Upon receiving information about the incident, the administration immediately swung into action. Several police teams, including ASP Nemichand Kharia, Deputy SP Arvind Bishnoi, and CI Satpal Singh, arrived at the scene. CCTV footage from the surrounding areas is being thoroughly reviewed to identify the accused.
The city has been placed under blockade to search for suspects, and additional police forces have been deployed around the gym. Police state that those involved in the crime will be arrested soon.
Panic in the City and Outrage Among Traders
As news of the murder spread, an atmosphere of panic gripped the city. A large number of people gathered at the district hospital, demanding the swift arrest of the accused. Local traders stated that had the police acted in time, this incident could have been averted.
Police and the administration have heightened security. The ASP stated that security arrangements have been tightened across the city to deal with any untoward situation. Citizens have also been appealed to immediately report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
