Tragedy in Rajasthan: Six Drown in Sukri River, Four Bodies Recovered

In Rajasthan's Jalore district, 6 young men who entered the Sukri River for a swim were swept away by the b current. The SDRF and police team have recovered 4 bodies, while 2 young men are still missing. The administration has directed to expedite the search.

Jalore: In Asana village of Sayla police station area in Jalore district of Rajasthan, 6 young men who entered the Sukri River for a swim were swept away by the b current. So far, the bodies of 4 young men have been recovered, while 2 young men are still missing. The administration and the SDRF team are conducting a search operation on a war footing, and the search for the missing young men has been intensified.

As soon as the information was received, the police and administration reached the spot and the search operation continued till late night. From morning, the SDRF and Civil Defense team again started searching on both sides of the river.

Young men trapped in the b current of the river

According to the information, this tragic incident happened on Wednesday (August 27). The young men reached the river bank near Asana village in a Bolero vehicle and went down to take a bath. The b current swept them away into the water, and the b current of water all around made the situation even more frightening.

It was told that the young men got trapped in the current while leaving the vehicle and mobile-slippers on the river bank and moving towards the ramp. Darkness and continuous rain hindered the rescue throughout the night, making it challenging to provide immediate help.

Search for missing youths in the river continues

As soon as the information was received, SDRF and Civil Defense teams were immediately called. Saira SDM Surajbhan Vishnoi, Tehsildar Lakshmi Choudhary and Station Officer Surendra Singh were present on the spot. They searched the river bank with lights throughout the night, but the operation was stopped for some time due to rain.

The search operation started again in the morning after the weather cleared. SDRF and police teams are constantly searching for the missing young men on both sides of the river. The administration has also appealed to the people of the surrounding villages to be careful and avoid bathing in the river.

Identification of 4 youths among the bodies recovered in the accident

So far, the recovered bodies include Jitendra Singh, Jagataram, Omaram and Shravan. All the bodies have been kept safe in the mortuary of Saira Hospital. The administration has not yet officially confirmed the deaths. The incident has created an atmosphere of mourning in the entire village and deep concern prevails among the family members.

Apart from this, the search for two other young men is still going on. SDRF and Civil Defense teams have warned that the search will be intensified as soon as the weather clears, so that the remaining youths can be safely evacuated and no further loss occurs in this tragic accident.
