The actress vehemently objected to a false news report and threatened legal action. Chatterjee's anger stemmed from a news channel's claim that she had refused to work with Yadav and was now desperate to do so. Chatterjee categorically denied this news, dismissing it in b terms.
Targeting Khesari
Chatterjee first targeted Khesari Lal Yadav, stating he consistently tries to elevate himself by belittling others. She recounted her support for him at the beginning of his career, writing, "Before working with Khesari, I never demotivated him; in fact, I supported him even before he became a hero. And when he appeared in 'Naagin,' I not only supported him but also had no objections." This statement directly countered Yadav's claim that Chatterjee was now eager to work with him.
Response to Fake News
Chatterjee issued a b warning to the news channel for spreading false information, threatening to file an FIR if they repeated such reporting. She challenged them, asking, "Do you have any proof that I am desperate to work with Khesari? Or that I have tried to demotivate him? Leveling such false accusations is wrong, and I won't tolerate it."
Chatterjee urged the media to practice responsible journalism and refrain from spreading baseless news without concrete evidence. She added, "If you want to practice journalism, do it with proof." She also clarified that in her 20-year film career, she has never lacked work.
Chatterjee's Career and Struggles
Chatterjee began her career in 2004 with the film ‘Sasura Bada Paisewala.’ She explained that even then, she built her career through hard work and dedication rather than fear or desperation. Chatterjee stated, "If I had worked out of fear or desperation in 2004, I wouldn't be where I am today in 2025. I have always believed in my hard work and continue to follow that path."
According to Chatterjee, this is also why she remains active and receives work in the industry. She claims to have provided more support to new actors than perhaps any other heroine.
Chatterjee's Threats and Controversies
This is not the first time Chatterjee has issued threats on social media. Previously, she threatened to physically assault someone who created a fake account using her name to post comments online. At that time, she also appealed to the Mumbai police to take action against the individual.
