The recent attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during a public hearing had shaken the entire political atmosphere. The incident, which occurred two days ago, involved an assailant suddenly attacking the CM.

CM Rekha Gupta: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is now fully recovered after the attack she suffered during a public hearing two days ago. Doctors' examinations and treatment have confirmed that she did not sustain any serious injuries. The Chief Minister is now expected to resume her official duties from Friday, August 22nd. Rekha Gupta resides in her official residence in Civil Lines.

Last Wednesday, August 20th, a person named Rajesh Khimji suddenly attacked her during a public hearing in the morning. Two days after this incident, she is expected to return to her office at the Delhi Secretariat.

Attack During Public Hearing

The incident occurred on the morning of August 20th, when Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was conducting a public hearing at her official residence in Civil Lines. During this time, a 41-year-old man named Rajeshbhai Khimji suddenly attacked her. Security personnel immediately apprehended the attacker, and the police arrested him and presented him in court. The accused was later sent to five days of remand. A case has been registered against him under several serious charges, including attempted murder (IPC 307).

Doctors conducted a thorough medical check-up of Rekha Gupta and provided the necessary treatment. She is now fully recovered and will resume working among the public from today. According to the CM Secretariat, Rekha Gupta's first public event will be the 'Vastrika' event at 11:30 AM in Gandhi Nagar, which is being held in Delhi's garment hub. Following this, at 4 PM, she will also attend the 'Ideathon' Grand Finale organized by the Industries Department at the Ashok Hotel in Chanakyapuri.

'I Will Never Leave Delhi Alone' - Rekha Gupta

Even after the attack, CM Rekha Gupta demonstrated her courage and spirit. She said, "Every moment of my life is dedicated to Delhi. Despite such unexpected setbacks, I will never leave Delhi." She also clarified that her 'Jan Sunwai' (public hearing) program will no longer be limited to her residence but will be organized in every assembly constituency so that more and more people can directly present their problems to her.

Remembering her father's teachings, Rekha Gupta said that women are capable of facing challenges in any situation. She said,
"Women have twice the strength to overcome difficulties. We have to go through countless tests to prove ourselves, and I am fully prepared for it."
