Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife, Rivaba Jadeja, has now become a minister in the Gujarat government. On Friday, she took the oath of office in Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's Council of Ministers. A total of 25 MLAs, including Rivaba, were sworn in as ministers during this oath-taking ceremony.
Rivaba Jadeja: The oath-taking ceremony for the new Council of Ministers in Gujarat was held on Friday. Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's wife, Rivaba Jadeja, has also secured a place in this Council of Ministers. Rivaba, who represents the Jamnagar North assembly constituency, became an MLA for the first time and registered a significant victory in the 2022 assembly elections. She has now been appointed as a minister in Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's government.
Rivaba took the oath of office as a minister on Friday. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath to a total of 25 MLAs, including Rivaba Jadeja. Notably, all other ministers in the Council of Ministers, except CM Bhupendra Patel, had submitted their resignations on Thursday.
Rivaba Jadeja's Personal and Educational Life
Rivaba Jadeja was born on November 2, 1990, in Rajkot. Her father is Hardev Singh Solanki, and her mother is Prafulba Solanki. Rivaba and Ravindra Jadeja have a daughter named Nidhyana. Rivaba excelled in her studies. She:
- Completed her 10th standard examination from Swami Vivekananda Vidyamandir in 2006
- Obtained a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Atmiya College in 2011
- Completed her B.E. Mechanical from GTU Ahmedabad in 2015
Alongside her education, Rivaba has also been active in social work. She established an NGO named Shri Matrushakti Charitable Trust, which helps vulnerable and needy women.
Political Career and Journey to Becoming a Minister
Rivaba Jadeja was nominated as a candidate by the BJP for the Jamnagar North assembly seat in 2022. After winning the election, she became an MLA and is now holding the responsibility of a ministerial position in Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's government. Prior to this oath-taking ceremony, most of Gujarat's ministers had resigned on Thursday. Rivaba and Ravindra met through his sister, Naina Jadeja. In 2015, when Rivaba and Naina first came home, Ravindra was also present. It was during this meeting that mutual attraction developed between them, leading to their engagement and marriage within three months.
