At the International Gita Mahotsav, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated that the Gita transcends religious boundaries and offers guidance to all humanity. He described it as a universal source of life management, patience, and spiritual strength.

New Delhi: At the International Gita Mahotsav, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said that the Srimad Bhagavad Gita transcends religious boundaries and provides universal guidance for spiritual living, inner strength, and spiritual clarity. According to him, the teachings of the Gita are not confined to any one religion but serve as a guide for all humanity.

International Gita Mahotsav Underway in Kurukshetra

The International Gita Mahotsav is being held in Kurukshetra from November 15 and will conclude on December 5. The objective of this three-week event is to globally share the wisdom, spirituality, and Indian philosophy of the Gita. Scholars, saints, policymakers, and spiritual guides from across the country are participating in the festival.

Source of Profound Spiritual Guidance

In his message, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar stated that the teachings of the Gita have influenced people's lives for generations and continue to provide wisdom and guidance in a changing world. He said that this sacred text offers balance, patience, self-confidence, and spiritual clarity amidst life's struggles. According to him, the Gita is not a scripture with limited teachings for any specific country, religion, or society, but rather a timeless guide for human life.

Message Broadcast at the 10th International Gita Conference

Jaishankar's message was broadcast when Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 10th International Gita Conference. This conference is an important part of the International Gita Mahotsav. Discussions were held on the chapters of the Gita, its philosophical perspective, and its utility in modern times.

Participation of Dignitaries in Joint Event

This event was jointly organized by Kurukshetra University, the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India, and the Kurukshetra Development Board. The program was attended by several spiritual leaders, scholars, cabinet ministers of the Haryana government, MP Naveen Jindal, and Gita expert Swami Gyananand Maharaj. All emphasized the need to understand the message of the Gita in a modern context and to disseminate it globally.
