UP Minister Sanjay Nishad Accuses BJP of Lack of Trust. Says Victory is a Shared Effort, BJP Shouldn't be Arrogant. Raises Questions on Alliance, Says - Tell us Clearly if There's No Trust.
UP Politics: The political temperature is soaring in Uttar Pradesh politics. Minister in the Yogi government and head of Nishad Party, Dr. Sanjay Nishad, has directly targeted the BJP, raising questions about the alliance. During a press conference in Gorakhpur, he clearly stated that if the BJP does not trust him, they should openly say so and end the alliance.
Direct Attack on BJP
Sanjay Nishad said that no one should be arrogant and think that the victory in UP was solely due to the BJP. Allied parties played a crucial role in the 2022 elections. He mentioned that when RLD and Rajbhar were associated with the Samajwadi Party, SP's seats increased from 45 to 125. He further added that victory comes from the collective efforts of all allies, not just one party.
Roots of Nishad Party and Discontent with BJP
Sanjay Nishad stated that the Nishad Party's roots originate from Gorakhpur, but unfortunately, some leaders in the state are trying to tarnish the party and his image. He also cornered the BJP on the issue of reservation, saying that the decision has to be taken by the BJP alone, as they are in power at both the central and state levels.
Open Message on the Alliance
In the press conference, he said, "If the BJP trusts us, then continue the alliance. Otherwise, tell us clearly and end the alliance. Do not underestimate the strength of the allies. Victory is not of one alone, it is a shared effort."
Reservation Issue and Aiming at Imported Leaders
Sanjay Nishad, taking a dig at imported leaders and some Nishad leaders within the BJP, said that if they are genuinely concerned about reservation, they should gherao the Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly). He is ready to walk with them. Otherwise, it will be considered that they are conspiring against the community and the party.
