The clarion call for Sanatani politics has been sounded in Bihar ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji has announced the fielding of cow-devotee (Gau Bhakt) candidates from all 243 assembly constituencies.
Patna: Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has sounded the clarion call for Sanatani politics in Bihar. He announced that candidates supported by him would contest elections from all assembly constituencies in Bihar, and all of them would be cow devotees (Gau Bhakt). Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj stated that the protection of Sanatan Dharma is only possible if we protect Gau Mata (Mother Cow).
He believes that cow protection is not merely a matter of faith, but also the cornerstone of our society and culture. He urged everyone to vote only for those candidates in the upcoming assembly elections who are clearly and firmly committed to cow protection. His message is centered on the preservation of religion, culture, and society.
Shankaracharya's Message: Cow Protection is the Foundation of Society and Culture
Addressing the assembly, Shankaracharya said, "The protection of Sanatan Dharma is only possible if we protect Gau Mata. Therefore, in the upcoming assembly elections, vote only for those candidates who are clearly and firmly committed to cow protection." He also informed that he visited the Delhi offices of all national parties to request them to advocate in the Lok Sabha for recognizing Gau Mata as the National Mother.
However, no political party has yet given a clear response. Due to this, he reluctantly decided to field cow-devotee candidates in the Bihar assembly elections.
Plan to Field Candidates in 243 Assembly Constituencies
Shankaracharya stated that the process of fielding candidates from all assembly constituencies is being completed. After nominations, formal information will be provided about which candidates are contesting on his behalf. He further added, "Our objective is not merely to win elections, but to protect the values of Sanatan Dharma and Indian culture. Cow protection is the heritage of our faith and society."
Shankaracharya's move has created a new electoral landscape for the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) and NDA in Bihar. Political analysts say that fielding 243 cow-devotee candidates could impact traditional vote banks and secular votes. Experts believe that the main message of this electoral movement is to spread awareness about cow protection and Sanatan Dharma. Through this, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati is attempting to make issues of religion and culture an electoral agenda among the public.
