A major incident has been reported concerning Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal's music concert. On Thursday evening, considerable chaos erupted at the Bali Jatra Ground in Cuttack, Odisha, resulting in one person being injured.

A massive crowd of spectators was present at the event, which took place at the Bali Jatra Ground. As the audience pressed closer to the stage, pushing and shoving intensified, creating near stampede-like conditions for a brief period. During this incident, one individual fainted and collapsed, and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The incident unfolded while Shreya Ghoshal was in the midst of her performance, as thousands of eager fans surged rapidly towards the stage to catch a glimpse of her. The concert had to be temporarily halted, but the local police and administration swiftly intervened, managing the situation and bringing the crowd under control. Once order was restored, the show resumed.
Situation Deteriorated as Crowd Surged
According to district administration officials, a record number of fans gathered to witness Shreya Ghoshal's live performance on the concluding day of the Bali Jatra festival. As the show commenced, the crowd gradually began to press forward. The immense pressure from the audience near the stage intensified, leading to pushing and shoving, and some individuals even fell. Amidst the commotion, one person fainted, and police personnel along with the medical team promptly transported them to the hospital.
Officials reported that the situation had become chaotic, requiring significant effort from security personnel to manage the crowd. Nevertheless, prompt action successfully averted any major mishap.

Police Promptly Restored Order
The local police force immediately mobilized, and barricades were put in place to push the crowd back. Officials appealed to the audience to remain calm, and additional security personnel were deployed at the venue. The show was halted for approximately 15 minutes, after which, with the situation brought under control, the performance recommenced.
Cuttack Police reported that an investigation into the incident is underway, and stricter measures for crowd management will be implemented in the future. Shreya Ghoshal is a towering figure in the Indian music industry, with popularity spanning not just the nation but also international borders. She commenced her classical music training at the tender age of six. In 2002, she made her Bollywood playback singing debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film ‘Devdas’. The film's songs ‘Bairi Piya’ and ‘Dola Re Dola’ not only brought her widespread recognition but also secured her a National Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
