After the incident, the accused appeared mentally unstable and started singing. The police took him into custody after considerable effort. The deceased's body has been sent for post-mortem, while the police are questioning the family and villagers to ascertain the motive behind the murder and the accused's mental condition.
Accused's Strange Behavior After the Incident
According to the police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening. Gula Bai was busy with household chores when her son suddenly arrived and attacked her repeatedly with an axe. Gula Bai was critically injured in the attack and died on the spot.
Panic spread in the village, and villagers immediately informed the police. Police personnel who arrived at the scene sent the body for post-mortem after conducting inquest proceedings. Shockingly, after committing the murder, the accused Jeet Ram Yadav sat at the spot and started singing, which increased the suspicion of his mental instability.

The Kunkuri Station House Officer stated that the police took the accused into custody after significant effort. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused's mental state does not appear to be normal.
