It's a big day for movie lovers! The trailer for 'Songs of Paradise' was released on Monday. This film is based on the life and struggles of Noor Begum (Raj Begum), the first female singer from Kashmir. The film will be released this month on the OTT platform Prime Video.

Entertainment: The trailer for the film 'Songs of Paradise' has been released and it will be launched on an OTT platform this month. The film stars Soni Razdan and Saba Azad in lead roles. The film is based on the life of Noor Begum (Raj Begum), the first female singer of Kashmir, and portrays her struggles, successes, and dedication to music.

Story of the film 'Songs of Paradise'

'Songs of Paradise' is based on the life of Raj Begum, the famous singer from Kashmir, who is also known as the 'Melody Queen' of Kashmir. The trailer shows how Raj Begum, at a time when women in Kashmir were not allowed to sing publicly, realized her dream with the changed name 'Noor Begum'.

The film showcases her struggles, facing opposition, and gaining popularity through hard work. This story not only depicts her dedication to music, but also conveys the message that difficulties cannot stop one from pursuing their dreams.

Soni Razdan and Saba Azad in Lead Roles

Soni Razdan and Saba Azad have played the role of Raj Begum in the film. Soni Razdan has portrayed the older age of Noor Begum, and Saba Azad has depicted her youth. In the beginning of the trailer, Soni Razdan is asked, "How will your story reach people?" Her reply is, "It is very important to get your story out there."

After this, Raj Begum's struggle and dream are shown in the form of Saba Azad. Despite her mother's worries and social pressures, she remains absorbed in music. She says, "God has not sent women to earth only to get married." Raj Begum receives music training and confidence from her Ustad (teacher). The Ustad says, "If you are ready to work hard, then I am ready to teach you."

Her friends say that no girl is allowed to become a singer in Kashmir, but Raj Begum remains firm, "But one can become, can't she?". Due to her hard work and dedication, Raj Begum gains recognition in the music world. She gets the opportunity to sing publicly, and her name is changed to Noor Begum. The film also shows that Raj Begum had to face opposition from her family and society. 

When the news of her singing spreads at home, she herself questions, "Am I not doing something wrong?" Her Ustad's reply is, "If you don't do anything now, then you will be doing something wrong. Now this voice cannot remain captive." In this way, Raj Begum realizes her dreams and the world meets her as a melodious and inspiring singer.

The film is directed by Danish Renzu. The trailer offers a glimpse of Raj Begum's struggles and her singing. The film will stream on Prime Video from August 29.
