Robo Shankar had been unwell for some time. According to media reports, he was suffering from jaundice and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Just a day before his demise, he suddenly fainted on a shooting set. Unit members rushed him to the hospital, but his condition deteriorated, and he passed away on the night of September 18. His last rites will be performed on Friday. As soon as the news of his passing broke, social media was flooded with messages of condolence.

Veteran Tamil actor Kamal Haasan expressed deep sorrow over Robo Shankar's passing. In an emotional post written in Tamil, he said, "Robo Shankar, Robo is just a name. In my eyes, you were a human, my younger brother. Will you leave me? You are gone, your work is complete. But my work is still pending. You left us yesterday, so tomorrow is ours."

Radhika Sarathkumar Also Expresses Grief

Actress Radhika Sarathkumar also expressed her condolences on Robo Shankar's demise. She wrote on social media, "He always kept everyone happy with his humor and worked very hard to give his best. This is a great loss for the film industry. I pray that God gives strength to his family and friends during this difficult time."
