Bisauli: A horrific road accident occurred late Wednesday night in the Bisauli area of Badaun. A speeding, out-of-control pickup vehicle hit motorcyclists drinking water by the roadside from behind. In this accident, Bhimsen Yadav died tragically on the spot, while another youth, Khunnu Babu, was seriously injured. The severity of the incident can be gauged by the fact that the deceased was dragged by the pickup vehicle for about 100 meters.
Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot, took possession of the deceased's body, and sent it for post-mortem, while the seriously injured person was referred from the Community Health Center to a higher center in Bareilly.
Speeding Pickup Rams Motorcyclists on Sahaswan Road
The accident took place near Mallaiya Wale Maharaj Temple on Sahaswan Road in the Bisauli Kotwali area. Bhimsen Yadav and Khunnu Babu had come by motorcycle and had stopped at the temple to drink water from a tap.
They were about to get off their motorcycle to get water when a speeding pickup truck hit them from behind. The collision was so forceful that Bhimsen got stuck in the vehicle and was dragged for about 100 meters. Khunnu Babu was thrown far away after the impact and was seriously injured. Eyewitnesses stated that the pickup vehicle was moving at such high speed that people standing by the roadside and passersby fled in fear. Several people narrowly escaped the accident.
Injured Referred to Hospital
Upon receiving information about the accident, Bisauli police immediately reached the spot. The body of the deceased, Bhimsen Yadav, was taken into possession and sent for post-mortem. Khunnu Babu, who was seriously injured, was referred from the Community Health Center to a higher medical center in Bareilly after initial treatment.
Upon learning of the accident, the deceased's family members arrived at the hospital and expressed anger over the negligence of the pickup vehicle driver. The family and local people appeared to be in a state of protest against the vehicle driver.

This accident caused a stir in the area. People standing by the roadside and passersby fled to escape the vehicle. Local administration appealed to people to be cautious when standing by the roadside or near vehicles at night.
The police stated that efforts would be made to improve roadside lighting, signage, and pedestrian pathways to prevent road accidents. Additionally, surveillance on speeding drivers will be increased.

The police stated that strict action would be taken soon against the negligence of the pickup vehicle driver.
