SSC CGL 2025: Preparations for the first stage of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025, conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), are in their final stages. The commission has already announced the dates for the Tier-1 exam, according to which this exam will be conducted from August 13th to August 30th, 2025, at various examination centers across the country. Meanwhile, the biggest question now is when will the admit cards be released?
Looking at the trends of previous SSC exams, the commission usually releases the admit cards 3-4 days before the exam date. In such a situation, it is believed that the SSC CGL Admit Card 2025 can be uploaded on the official website on August 9th or 10th.
How to Obtain the Admit Card
SSC has made it clear that admit cards will only be made available online. Admit cards will not be sent to any candidate individually by post or any other means. Candidates will have to visit the new official website of the commission, ssc.gov.in, log in, and download their admit card by filling in the relevant details.
Procedure to Download the Admit Card:
- Visit the official website of SSC, ssc.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Admit Card’ link provided on the homepage.
- Select the ‘SSC CGL Admit Card 2025’ option.
- Enter your registration number and date of birth.
- The admit card will appear on the screen, download it and take a printout.
Exam Pattern: Know How Questions Will Be Asked
A total of 100 multiple-choice questions will be asked from the candidates in the Tier-1 stage of SSC CGL 2025. This exam will be computer-based and the time limit is set at 1 hour.
Subject-wise Distribution of Questions:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning – 25 questions
- General Awareness – 25 questions
- Quantitative Aptitude – 25 questions
- English Comprehension – 25 questions
2 marks will be awarded for every correct answer, while a negative marking of 0.5 marks will be applicable for every incorrect answer.
The Tier-1 exam will be of a screening nature, and only those candidates who secure the cut-off marks prescribed by the commission will be considered eligible to appear in the next stage, i.e., the Tier-2 exam.
Selection Will Be Done for Thousands of Posts
The online application process for SSC CGL 2025 was conducted from June 9th to July 4th, 2025. This year, this recruitment process is being conducted to fill a total of 14,582 vacant posts. These posts fall under Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ categories in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India.
Candidates will have to go through the process of Tier-1, Tier-2, Document Verification, and Medical Test for selection.
