SSC CGL Exam Date 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the exam schedule for the Combined Graduate Level, or SSC CGL Exam 2025 Tier-1. The wait for millions of candidates is finally over. The Commission has clarified in its notification that the examination will be conducted from September 12, 2025, to September 26, 2025. The exam will be held in a single shift at various examination centers across the country.
SSC CGL Exam 2025 Schedule Released
Candidates can now view the Exam Schedule on the official website of SSC. This examination is for all those candidates who had successfully registered for SSC CGL 2025. The Commission has also clarified that the examination process will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
Number of Vacancies and Candidates
This time, a total of 14,582 posts will be filled through the SSC CGL examination. Furthermore, approximately 28 lakh candidates have registered. The participation of such a large number of candidates in the exam demonstrates that SSC CGL is one of the most popular and competitive examinations in India.
When will the Admit Card be Released?
The exam schedule has been released, but the Admit Card has not been issued yet. As per the Commission's guidelines, candidates will be able to download their admit cards 2-3 days before the examination.
The admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination center. Without it, no candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates will also need to bring a Valid ID Proof.
SSC CGL 2025 Exam Pattern
Understanding the exam pattern is crucial for preparation.
- The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).
- It will consist of a total of 100 questions.
- All questions will be Objective Type (MCQs).
The question paper will comprise four sections:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
- The exam will be for a total of 200 marks.
- Negative Marking is also applicable. 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- The total time allotted will be 60 minutes.
