Tej Pratap Yadav Stands Out in White Amidst Black Protest in Bihar Assembly

Amidst the opposition's black clothing protest in the Bihar Assembly, Tej Pratap Yadav was seen in white attire. He stated that he wears black clothes only on Saturdays due to the influence of the planet Saturn (Shani).

Tej Pratap News: During the monsoon session of the Bihar Assembly, opposition legislators marked their presence in the House wearing black clothes to protest against the government. However, amidst this, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA and former Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav was seen in a white kurta, drawing the media's attention. When asked why he wasn't wearing black clothes, he smiled and said, "I wear black on Saturdays. I am under the influence of Shani (Saturn)."

Spoke of the Influence of the Planet Saturn

Tej Pratap Yadav explained that he wears clothes of specific colors every day according to astrological beliefs. He wears black clothes on Saturdays because that day is associated with the planet Saturn, and according to him, Saturn has an influence on him. He said, "Every day has its significance, and I decide my clothes accordingly." This statement by Tej Pratap became a topic of discussion not only outside the House but also went viral on social media.

Opposition Protests Against SIR

On the second day of this monsoon session of the Bihar Assembly, opposition parties bly protested against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list.

The opposition alleges that irregularities are occurring in this process and that the interference of the ruling party could affect electoral fairness. To register their protest, many legislators arrived at the House wearing black clothes. During this, slogans were raised by going into the well of the house and the proceedings were disrupted.

RJD MLA Climbed on Table, Marshals Removed Him

During this protest, RJD MLA Satish Kumar protested by climbing on the table. Following this, the marshals of the assembly had to intervene and he was forcibly brought down. There was an atmosphere of chaos in the House during this time. But despite this, the government introduced six important bills in the House.

On behalf of the Bihar government, Minister Mangal Pandey placed six bills, including the Religious Trust Amendment Bill 2025, on the table of the Assembly. These include:

  • Bihar Mall Service Tax First Amendment Bill 2025.
  • Bihar Municipal Amendment Bill.
  • Bihar Special Survey and Settlement Amendment Bill.
  • Bihar Agricultural Land Amendment Bill.
  • Bihar Underground Pipeline Amendment Bill.
  • Religious Trust Amendment Bill.
