Simultaneously, actress-turned-politician Shatabdi Roy has been entrusted with the role of Deputy Leader. This change comes after the resignation of MP Kalyan Banerjee.

Kalyan Banerjee, who was the Chief Whip of the party in the Lok Sabha, relinquished the position following a dispute with Mahua Moitra. A heated exchange took place with Krishnanagar MP Mahua Moitra during a parliamentary session. Subsequently, questions were raised within the party regarding Kalyan Banerjee's role, ultimately leading to his resignation.

The post stated: "Kalyan Banerjee has resigned from the post of Chief Whip of the All India Trinamool Congress Parliamentary Party in Lok Sabha. He has submitted this resignation to the Speaker, which has been accepted. The Speaker has expressed gratitude for his contributions."
Kakoli Ghosh Given Responsibility of Chief Whip
After consultations with senior MPs, the party has appointed Dr. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar as the new Chief Whip in the Lok Sabha. Kakoli Ghosh is an experienced MP and has been an active and vocal voice of the party in Parliament.
Shatabdi Roy Appointed as Deputy Leader
Alongside this, Shatabdi Roy, Member of Parliament from Birbhum, has been appointed as the Deputy Leader of the TMC in the Lok Sabha. She has been representing the party in Parliament for a long time and has been actively involved in the mainstream of the organization.
Abhishek Banerjee Appointed Leader in Lok Sabha
The TMC had previously declared Abhishek Banerjee as the Leader of the party in the Lok Sabha on Monday. The party's National General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, will now lead the party in the House.
