Trump Announces China Tariffs, Strict Russia Sanctions, and Vision for Global Peace & Alliances

World News: US President Donald Trump has announced the imposition of significant tariffs on China. Following this decision, China has warned the US that if forced, it will respond resolutely. Chinese diplomat Wei, currently on a visit to India, stated that China does not seek conflict but will take necessary steps to defend its rights if required. He added that the US should correct its mistakes as cooperation benefits both countries.

Trump's Response – Meeting with Xi Jinping

Following China's statement, Donald Trump announced that he would travel to Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan next week. In South Korea, he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Trump stated that this meeting would be lengthy and that both countries would endeavor to resolve their questions and disagreements.

He mentioned that he had canceled a scheduled meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin because he felt the meeting would not reach the desired outcome. Trump stated that relations between China and Russia could not be friendly. He hoped these relations would remain normal, but the policies of Biden and Obama had brought the two together due to oil and energy.

Trump's Comments on the Russia-Ukraine War

Trump stated that he would also discuss ending the Russia-Ukraine war with Xi Jinping. He said this discussion could occur through energy and oil or by other means. Trump asserted that he wishes to resolve all wars and restore peace.

Trump's Statement on India-Pakistan

Trump stated that the US has strengthened its economy through tariff policy. According to him, tariffs had been wrongly used against the US for decades, leading to a national debt of 37 trillion dollars. Trump said, "If India and Pakistan want to fight, they can fight, but they will have to pay tariffs, and they will be very high."

He explained that both countries decided to cease fighting after discussions with the US. Trump stated that he had resolved eight wars, five to six of which ended due to tariff policy.

Talks of Stronger Relations with India

Regarding the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump stated that India had informed him it is in the process of stopping oil purchases from Russia. He said India would do this gradually, and it would be almost complete by the end of the year. Trump remarked, "Yesterday, I spoke with Prime Minister Narendra Modi; they have been very good. China is a bit different because its relations with Russia are complex."

Strict Sanctions on Russia

Trump announced new sanctions against Russia. He stated, "Today is a very big day. These sanctions have been imposed on two major Russian oil companies. We hope the war will end. We have also responded with missiles and other weapons, but we don't think that will be necessary."

Trump stated that Russia should abandon its old strategy and retreat. He claimed that approximately 8,000 Russian soldiers were killed last week. Trump asserted that both Russia and Ukraine now desire peace.

Claim to Resolve All Wars

When asked why sanctions on Russia are being increased now, Trump replied that the time has come. He explained that the US has faced seven wars, including those in the Middle East, and conflicts involving Pakistan and India. Trump stated, "We have one war left, and I am confident we will resolve that one too."
