Hamas-Israel Conflict: US President Donald Trump received a secret note related to a peace agreement in the Middle East, urging him to approve a social media post. This note was handed to him by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a roundtable meeting at the White House. The note stated that Trump needed to immediately approve a post on the Truth Social platform to announce the first phase of the peace plan between Israel and Hamas.
How the Note Was Delivered
Rubio handed the note to Trump by whispering in his ear, and photographers zoomed in to capture the note. The note clearly read, "You must approve the Truth Social post soon, so you can announce the first agreement." Trump informed those present at the meeting that the Secretary of State told him they were very close to a Middle East agreement and that his involvement would soon be required.
Trump's Potential Trip to Egypt
At this time, top Middle East advisor Steve Witkoff, Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and other senior officials participated in peace talks for the third day at a resort in Egypt. Trump indicated that he might travel to Egypt by the end of the week. He stated that the purpose of this trip was to establish peace in the Middle East.
Trump's Statement
Trump stated that he would need to go to the Middle East to resolve some problems there. However, he also mentioned that his Secretary of State was doing an excellent job representing him and might even be able to do better than him. Trump assured that no risks would be taken and that establishing peace would be the priority.
Announcement on Social Media
Approximately two hours after Rubio handed him the note, Trump announced on his Truth Social platform that all parties had agreed to the first phase of the peace plan. He wrote, "I am proud to announce that both Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of the peace plan."
Under the first phase of the peace plan, all hostages will be released soon. Israel will withdraw its forces to an agreed line.
