United States President Donald Trump stated that actions taken against Iran were based on his administration’s strategic decisions and not influenced by any pressure from Israel. The statement was issued on the social media platform Truth Social.
Trump said the decision was aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He added that the move was part of a broader strategic approach and not the result of external influence. Addressing speculation regarding relations with Israel and policy in the Middle East, Trump said no external pressure had shaped the decision to act against Iran.
He also questioned several media reports, stating that facts were being misrepresented and presented inaccurately.

Issuing a warning to Iran, Trump said that incorrect decisions by its leadership could lead to serious consequences. He stated that the country’s future could also become “better and prosperous” if decisions were made with prudence. Referring to Venezuela, he indicated that policy choices can have significant outcomes and suggested that similar consequences could apply in Iran.
Trump further referred to the October 7 attacks and subsequent developments, noting that the role of Hamas in those events had been under scrutiny. He said these developments had altered regional security dynamics and compelled the United States to take firm decisions.
He also alleged that media outlets and political analysts were exaggerating facts and that several reports were entirely inaccurate.
