Exam Date and Schedule

The UGC NET examination will be conducted between June 25th and June 29th, 2025. The exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) held at designated centers across the country. This examination is being conducted for a total of 85 subjects. The exam will be held in two shifts daily. The first shift will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift will be from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Admit Card Release Schedule

Admit cards for candidates appearing on June 25th and 26th have been released. The admit cards for the June 27th exam will be released on June 24th, and those for June 28th and 29th will be released on June 25th and 26th respectively. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website.

How to Download the Admit Card

Follow these steps to download the UGC NET Admit Card 2025:

  • Click on the “UGC-NET June 2025 Admit Card” link on the homepage.
  • Enter your application number, date of birth, and security pin.
  • Your admit card will be displayed on the screen after submission.
  • Download and print a copy for future reference.

Mandatory Documents at the Exam Center

Candidates must bring their admit card along with a valid photo ID card for entry to the examination center. This ID card can be an Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, passport, or driving license. Entry will be denied without the admit card and a valid ID.

Understanding the Exam Pattern

The UGC NET exam consists of two papers.

Paper 1: This paper contains 50 multiple-choice questions based on teaching, research aptitude, and general awareness. This paper is worth 100 marks.

Paper 2: This paper contains 100 multiple-choice questions based on the subject chosen by the candidate. This paper is worth 200 marks.

A total time of 3 hours (180 minutes) will be given for both papers, and both papers will be conducted in the same session without any break.
