The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will exclude 20 schools in Agra from the list of examination centres for the 2027 High School and Intermediate examinations. Of these, 14 schools have already been debarred from serving as examination centres, while action is underway or has been completed against the recognition of the remaining six schools.

Meanwhile, the proposed list of examination centres in the district has received 375 objections and representations, primarily concerning the distance between schools and their allotted examination centres.

The process of finalising examination centres for the Uttar Pradesh Board's 2027 High School and Intermediate examinations is currently underway. Amid this process, the board has decided that 20 schools in Agra will not be considered as examination centres.

Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh has issued instructions to District Magistrate Manish Bansal and the District Inspector of Schools in this regard. The district administration and education department will prepare the district-level list of examination centres in accordance with these instructions.

Of the 20 schools excluded from the proposed examination centre list, 14 have already been debarred. These schools were barred from becoming examination centres in different years. Under the board's latest instructions, they will also remain excluded from the arrangements for the 2027 examinations.

The 14 debarred schools are MM Sherry Higher Secondary School, Shahzadi Mandi; Kisan Higher Secondary School, Bamrauli Katara; Nanigram Higher Secondary School, Dulhara, Saiyan; Rohta Inter College; DAV Inter College, Moti Katra; and MMAO Inter College.

The list also includes Shri Rafiq Ahmed Kidwai Memorial Inter College, Kagarol; Shri Shankarlal Ramraj Inter College, Ladukhera; Pandit Shri Jagannath Prasad Inter College, Dabraee, Shamsabad; and Triveni Devi Inter College, Garhsani.

Other schools on the list are Shrimati Bhagwati Devi Inter College, Shamsabad; Jai Dhanoula Maa Inter College, Pura Bhaktu, Dhanauli Kalan; Government Higher Secondary School, Richoha, Jagner; and Shrimati Shanti Devi Inter College, Gangaur, Fatehabad.

Apart from the 14 debarred institutions, six other schools will also be excluded from the examination centre list for 2027. Action to withdraw their recognition is either underway or has already been completed.

These schools include Shri Shail Raj Digambar Jain Girls Inter College, Radhanagar, Sikandra; Shri Atar Singh Inter College, Rajouli, Kirawali; and New Sherwood Public Inter College, Rajpur.

The remaining three institutions are Shrimati Chandra Devi Higher Secondary School, Krishna Enclave; Shri Satish Chandra Memorial Inter College; and RBS Higher Secondary School, Bhagupura, Khandauli.

Following the board secretary's instructions, the district administration and education department will take these schools into account while preparing the district-level examination centre list.

A total of 161 schools have been proposed as examination centres for the 2027 board examinations in Agra. The proposed list comprises 12 government schools, 72 aided schools and 77 unaided schools.

The proposed list has received 375 objections and representations from schools.

Of these, 322 objections relate to the distance between schools and their allotted examination centres. The concerned schools have raised concerns about the difficulties students may face if they are assigned examination centres located far away.

Additionally, 30 objections concern the allocation of candidates beyond the prescribed capacity of examination centres.

Another 20 representations seek the establishment of new examination centres. Two applications have been submitted requesting the cancellation of proposed centres, while one complaint letter has also been registered.

The objections and representations will now be examined at the district level. The verification process will consider the condition of schools, the number of students, the capacity of examination centres and the distance between schools and their allotted centres.

After the scrutiny, the process of finalising the examination centre list will proceed in accordance with the Uttar Pradesh Board's instructions.

Students and schools can visit the official Uttar Pradesh Board website, upmsp.edu.in, for official examination-related information and updates on the examination centre allocation process.
