Uttar Pradesh Launches 'Rozgar Mission' to Boost Employment

The 'Rozgar Mission' has been launched in Uttar Pradesh. The government will provide jobs in the private sector to one lakh youths in a year and employment to 25 to 30 thousand youths abroad.

UP News: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken an important decision to open new doors of employment for the youth of the state. The 'Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Mission' has been approved in the cabinet meeting. The objective of this mission is to provide jobs in the private sector to one lakh youths in a year and provide employment opportunities to 25 to 30 thousand youths abroad. Under this, the state government itself will obtain a license for recruiting agents and will keep the entire process under its control.

Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Mission gets the green light

The 'Uttar Pradesh Rozgar Mission' has been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Through this scheme, the state government is aiming to provide employment to one lakh youths in the private sector. Apart from this, there is a plan to provide job opportunities to 25 to 30 thousand youths abroad.

Labor and Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar said that this mission is a big step towards making the youth of the state self-reliant. Under this mission, the government itself will obtain a license for Recruiting Agents (RA) to provide jobs abroad.

Now the government will provide jobs abroad

Until now, the youth had to depend on private agencies for jobs abroad. But under this new scheme, the state government will take this responsibility itself. The government's plan is to establish direct contact with companies operating abroad and make the recruitment process easy and transparent.

Anil Rajbhar said that there is a huge demand for Uttar Pradesh's youth abroad, especially in nursing, paramedical, driving, domestic work, and as skilled workers. The government will now be able to directly recruit in these sectors.

Main features of the Rozgar Mission

Under this mission, the government will take several important steps, making the employment process more smooth and practical. Some main points are as follows:

  • A survey of employment demand will be conducted both in the country and abroad.
  • Direct contact will be established with companies.
  • Training programs will be conducted by identifying skill gaps.
  • Language and pre-departure training will be provided.
  • Career counseling and campus placement facilities will be available.
  • Support and monitoring will also be provided to the youth after appointment.

Work for every hand, respect for every skill

Labor Minister Anil Rajbhar said that this mission will bring to fruition Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision in which he had talked about providing work to every youth according to their skills. He said that 'work for every hand, respect for every skill' has now become not just a slogan but an action plan.

The government believes that when the youth of the state become skilled and self-reliant, only then will Uttar Pradesh be able to take b steps towards becoming a trillion-dollar economy.

New opportunities for women workers

In the cabinet meeting, a major decision was also taken in the interest of women. Now, women will be able to work in those 29 dangerous industrial categories, where they were not allowed earlier, with some prescribed conditions.

The Labor Minister said that earlier, women were allowed to work in 12 and then recently in 4 categories. Now this exemption will be applicable to all 29 categories. This step will give a new direction to women's empowerment and make them more financially capable.

Approval for a new Greenfield Expressway

Under another important decision in the cabinet meeting, the new Greenfield Link Expressway connecting the Agra-Lucknow Expressway to the Purvanchal Expressway has also been approved. This new expressway will be approximately 49.96 kilometers long and will be six-lane, which can be extended to eight lanes in the future. The construction of this project will be done on the EPC model, on which the state government will spend around ₹4775 crore.
