The Uttar Pradesh Awas Evam Vikas Parishad (UPAVP) is offering 1 BHK flats for sale under the Mandola Vihar scheme for just Rs 8.25 lakh. These flats measure 28.41 square meters and are in a ready-to-move condition. Interested buyers can register until September 30 through the online process, which began on August 15. Out of a total of 1,894 flats, only a limited number of units remain, and if the number of applications is high, allocation will be done through a lottery.

How the Scheme is Operating

The Uttar Pradesh Awas Evam Vikas Parishad is selling these flats on a "first-come, first-served" basis. A total of 1,894 flats were constructed under the Mandola Vihar scheme, but now very few units remain available. This is why there is considerable enthusiasm among buyers for this scheme.

Features of the 1 BHK Flat

These flats available in Ghaziabad are for the EWS category, i.e., economically weaker sections. Each flat has an area of 28.41 square meters. A key feature is that these flats are ready-to-move, meaning you can shift in immediately upon completion of purchase and payment. Ghaziabad, adjacent to the capital Delhi, is part of the NCR, and daily commuting to Delhi from here is considered easy.

Registration Deadline

The registration process for this scheme began on August 15. The final date for interested buyers has been set as September 30. This means those who wish to acquire these flats must apply as soon as possible. The Parishad is selling these flats under the Special Registration Scheme 3.0 Extension.

Discount on Payment

If a buyer pays the full amount for these flats within 60 days, they will receive an additional 5 percent discount. This discount could prove to be a significant relief for buyers. Furthermore, if you are a government employee or officer, there is an additional benefit for you: you only need to pay 50 percent to get immediate possession.

Registration Fee Details

Applicants for these flats must first deposit a registration fee. This fee is 5 percent of the total flat price. Thus, for a flat costing Rs 8.25 lakh, approximately Rs 41,000 will need to be deposited as registration fee. If the number of applicants exceeds the available flats, allocation will be done through a lottery system.

What if Your Name Doesn't Come Up in the Lottery?

If an applicant does not get a flat in the lottery process after applying, there is no need to worry. The Parishad states that in such cases, the full deposited amount will be refunded within one month. This way, applicants will not face any financial risk.

Anyone wishing to purchase these flats can register by visiting the official website of the UP Housing and Development Board. The website address is upavp.in. The entire process can be completed online here. Necessary documents must be uploaded and the registration fee must also be deposited online at the time of application.
