Upendra Kushwaha's Statement: Clarification on Criticism
Upendra Kushwaha said, “Since yesterday, I have observed various reactions to our decision—some encouraging, some critical. Criticism should be welcomed, but some criticisms are also biased and malicious. Healthy criticism helps us learn and navigate, while malicious criticism merely exposes the critic's intentions.
He further added that this step was necessary to avoid a situation where the 'bag remains empty.' He argued that due to party mergers and previous decisions, 'unpopular and suicidal' decisions sometimes have to be made, which could threaten the party's existence. In such times, it is not appropriate to ignore any option.

Response to Allegations of Dynastic Politics
Upendra Kushwaha stated, 'Today, my decision is being accused of dynastic politics. I admit that this decision was not easy for me. History teaches that both nectar and poison emerge from the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan). Due to the current decision, I had to drink poison, but I took it to preserve the party.'
He clarified that while the extent of public blessings in the future is uncertain, the current decision was the correct option he adopted. Kushwaha said, 'The issue was not the poison; I drank the poison. People are distressed by the fact that I survived again.'
Emphasis on Deepak Prakash's Capabilities
Upendra Kushwaha also mentioned the qualities of his son, Deepak Prakash. He stated that Deepak Prakash is not a failed student in any class. He has obtained an engineering degree in Computer Science and has also inherited values from his ancestors. Upendra Kushwaha urged the public and critics to give Deepak time to prove himself.
He said, “A person's eligibility should not be evaluated based on their caste or family, but on their qualifications and ability. Deepak Prakash will certainly impress everyone with his own capabilities.
