The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has set September 1, 2026, as the last date to apply for the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UPSSSC PET) 2026. Eligible candidates who have passed Class 10 can apply through the prescribed process. The last date for fee adjustment and modifications to the application form is September 8, 2026.
Candidates who have not yet submitted their applications can apply by September 1. UPSSSC PET is an eligibility examination for various Group C recruitments in Uttar Pradesh.
Through PET, candidates may get the opportunity to participate in recruitments conducted subsequently for posts including Lekhpal, VDO and Forest Guard. After submitting the application, the facility for fee adjustment and modifications to the form will remain available until September 8, 2026.
Candidates applying for UP PET 2026 must have passed at least Class 10 from a recognised board. Candidates who pass Class 10 or an equivalent examination by the application deadline will also be eligible to apply.
The age limit will be calculated as of July 1, 2026. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years old. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the applicable rules.
Candidates must first complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process to apply for UP PET. They then need to register to appear in the examination. The next step is to pay the application fee according to their category and complete the form submission process. After completing the application, candidates should keep a printout of the form safely.
The application fee is ₹185 for General and OBC category candidates. SC and ST candidates have to pay ₹95, while candidates in the PH category have to pay ₹25. The fee can be paid through online mode.
