Abducted Youth Vikas Jha Rescued in Samastipur; Five Arrested

Vikas Jha, a youth abducted from Dalsinghsarai in Samastipur, has been safely recovered from Begusarai. Police have arrested five criminals involved in the abduction and seized three mobile phones.

Samastipur: Vikas Jha, who was abducted from a library located at Kali Chowk in the Dalsinghsarai police station area, has been safely recovered by the police from the Bachhwara police station area of Begusarai. Five criminals involved in the kidnapping have also been arrested. Considering the seriousness of the incident, the police immediately formed a team and intensified the action.

SDPO Vivek Kumar Sharma informed in a press conference on Wednesday that along with the recovery of the youth, three mobile phones have been seized from the accused involved in the abduction.

Vikas Jha was abducted on August 26

According to information, late in the evening of August 26, Vikas Jha, who was studying in a library near Kali Chowk, was abducted by five to seven criminals in a car (JH-01-DK-0498).

The abducted youth's brother, Prashant Kumar, immediately filed a complaint at the Dalsinghsarai police station. In the complaint, it was stated that Arvind Kumar, son of Arjun Rai, a resident of Bachhwara police station area of Begusarai, along with his associates, kidnapped the youth and demanded a ransom of ₹16 lakh from the brother's mobile.

Accused involved in the abduction arrested

The SDPO said that on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, a special team was formed in the abduction case and the search was intensified. During the action, Vikas Jha was safely recovered from near the Samsipur river in Begusarai.

During this time, the police arrested Arvind Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Shakti Kumar, Bittu Kumar and Pankaj Kumar, who were involved in the abduction. Currently, the investigation into the transaction of money and the entire plan of the kidnapping is going on.

SDPO Vivek Kumar Sharma said that the team will be honored for its outstanding level in police crime control and law and order maintenance. This action not only brought justice to the victim's family, but also sent a message of security and strengthening of law and order in the city.

The police is constantly monitoring and ensuring that any such incidents of abduction or crime are prevented in time in the future.
