Waaree Renewable Technologies Reports Stellar Q1 FY26 Results Despite Margin Dip

Waaree Renewable Technologies has demonstrated outstanding performance in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, spanning from April to June 2025. The company announced its quarterly results shortly before the stock market closed on Thursday, revealing a significant increase in both profit and revenue.

The company reported that its net profit for the quarter ending in June 2025 surged to ₹86.4 crore. In the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the company's profit was ₹28.2 crore. This represents a year-on-year jump of 207 percent.

Significant Surge in Revenue

The company's topline, or total revenue, also witnessed substantial growth. Waaree Renewable stated that its total revenue for the June quarter stood at ₹603.2 crore, compared to ₹236.4 crore in the same quarter last year. This surge in revenue represents an increase of 155 percent.

EBITDA Rises, but Margin Slips

During the quarter, the company's EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) was ₹117.6 crore. This figure was ₹41.2 crore in the June quarter of the previous year, reflecting an increase of 185 percent in EBITDA. However, the EBITDA margin decreased to 9.50 percent, compared to 17.41 percent in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Weak Stock Market Reaction

Despite these impressive results, Waaree Renewable's stock experienced a negative impact in the stock market. At the time of writing, the company's shares were trading at ₹1185.70, down by 1.40 percent. Investors likely engaged in profit-taking due to the decline in margins or the results being in line with prior expectations.

However, a look at the stock's long-term performance reveals strength. Over the past year, Waaree Renewable's shares have recorded a gain of approximately 38.18 percent. This means that investors who invested with a long-term perspective have received good returns so far.
