Screenshots shared by WABetaInfo show that a reply indicator will appear in the message bubble, tapping which will allow viewing the entire thread. This facility will enable users to understand conversations in a logical order, and new or late-joining users will also be able to easily join the discussion.
How the New Feature Will Work
WABetaInfo has shared screenshots of this new feature. Now, every reply will be attached directly below the original message as a thread, making replies appear chronologically. A new reply indicator will also appear in the message bubble, indicating how many replies have been received for that message. Users can tap on this indicator to open the entire thread and view all replies together.
Facility to Add Replies to a Thread
Users can now add new replies directly within a thread. This reply will automatically be added to the same thread. Furthermore, it will be possible to select a different message within the thread and reply to it. This is currently being tested under the name "Follow-up reply," although it is not yet available to all beta testers.
Will be Helpful in Long Chats
Finding replies associated with a single message in long chats will now be easier. With the thread system, all replies will be organized chronologically and in a logical order. New or late-joining users can directly open the thread and understand the entire conversation. This feature will be particularly useful for those messages that have received multiple replies and were getting lost among other messages.
This new thread feature will make the messaging experience more organized and seamless for WhatsApp users.
