Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued his first public response regarding the alleged irregularities related to offerings and donations at the Ram Temple. He said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the matter is conducting the investigation with full seriousness and that all facts will emerge once the inquiry is completed.
Speaking on the SIT investigation, Yogi Adityanath said the probe into the Ram Temple-related matter is being carried out impartially. He stated that anyone possessing evidence or information related to the case should come forward and provide it to the investigating agency. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the inquiry would clarify the factual position of the case.
He further said that every aspect of the matter would be examined within the framework of the law and that necessary action would be taken against any individual found guilty. His remarks are being viewed as the government's official response to the issue.
Questions have been raised in recent months over alleged irregularities involving offerings and donations received at the Ram Temple. As part of the investigation, agencies are also examining records related to jewellery and other valuable items received by the temple.
According to sources, inquiries have been conducted regarding a diamond-studded necklace and a pair of ceremonial footwear (charan paduka). The investigation is examining differing accounts related to the custody and transfer of these items.
Sources associated with the investigation said that during questioning, a temple priest stated that after the necklace and charan paduka were offered to the deity, the items were returned to an individual. Another party, however, claimed that the items had subsequently been handed over to the concerned official.
The concerned official has reportedly denied receiving the items. Due to discrepancies in these statements, investigating agencies are verifying documents, receipts, and records to establish the factual position.
Given the sensitivity of the matter, investigating agencies are conducting a detailed examination of all aspects of the case. Officials have stated that the investigation remains ongoing and that final conclusions will only emerge after the inquiry is completed.
The government has also clarified that no haste will be shown in the investigation and that any further action will be based solely on established facts. Attention remains focused on the case as the SIT’s report is awaited.
Yogi Adityanath said that investigating agencies are receiving full cooperation and reiterated that anyone with evidence related to the matter should present it before the authorities. He appealed to the public to rely on the official investigation process rather than rumours.
In the next phase of the inquiry, statements of concerned individuals, documents, and available evidence will be cross-verified. Only after the investigation is completed will it become clear to what extent the allegations are substantiated and what further action may follow.
