CM Yogi presented the Vision Document for a Developed UP by 2047 in the Assembly. Accusing the SP of dynastic politics, he used the term 'Family Development Authority'.
UP Vidhanmandal Monsoon Session 2025: On the fourth and final day of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature's monsoon session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented his views in the House on the 'Developed India, Developed Uttar Pradesh – 2047' vision document. He stated that his government has resolved to establish Uttar Pradesh as a developed state by 2047, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" (collective effort, inclusive growth).
The Chief Minister explained that this vision is based on the state's economic progress, social justice, environmental protection, and infrastructure development. He elaborated on how these areas will be addressed in a balanced and planned manner.
Direct Jab at SP – 'Narrow Thinking Limited to Family'
During his address, CM Yogi targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP), stating that while the state and country are moving forward, the opposition wants to remain confined to its family. He sarcastically remarked that the opposition party wants to make Uttar Pradesh a victim of 'Family Development Authority' (PDA).
CM Yogi said that earlier governments were limited to schemes and announcements. Foundation stones were laid, but inaugurations and dedications were rare. His government has changed this system. Now, the foundation laying and inauguration of projects are completed on time.
Attacking the Opposition in a Poetic Style
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also adopted a poetic style while attacking the opposition in the House. He said that the opposition's thinking is limited to personal and family interests, while his government is prioritizing the development of the entire state.
He said that the opposition should engage in constructive politics for the benefit of the state, rather than just dynastic politics.
Yogi's Satire on 'PDA'
Referring to the SP's 'PDA', CM Yogi sarcastically said – "Your PDA is actually a Family Development Authority." During this, he mentioned a Sanskrit verse –
"Yavajjivet sukham jived rnam krtva ghrtam pivet, bhasmibhutasya dehasya punaragamanam kutah॥"
The Chief Minister explained its meaning, stating that it is the materialistic philosophy of the Charvaka sage, which means – as long as there is life, one should live happily. Even if it requires taking a loan to drink ghee. After death, the body turns to ashes, so rebirth is not possible.
Yogi sarcastically said that this thinking is also visible in the politics of opposition parties – as long as they are in power, they should develop their family and close ones, and worry about the state later.
What's Special in the 2047 Vision Document
Chief Minister Yogi told the House that 'Developed Uttar Pradesh 2047' is not just a dream, but a concrete plan. It emphasizes the following points –
- Economic Progress – Expansion of industry, agriculture, and the MSME sector.
- Social Justice – Equal opportunities and distribution of resources for every section of society.
- Environmental Protection – Emphasis on green energy, water conservation, and pollution control.
- Infrastructure Development – Expressway, metro, airport, and smart city projects.
- Employment Opportunities – Promoting skill development and the startup ecosystem for the youth.
He said that this vision document is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Developed India 2047 mission.
