The BCCI has released a medical update stating that Shreyas Iyer complained of lower back pain after the third day's play. He has undergone scans.
Team India is scheduled to play three One Day International (ODI) matches against Australia on March 17th, 19th, and 22nd. The first ODI will be played in Mumbai, the second in Visakhapatnam, and the third in Chennai.
Iyer is currently under the medical supervision of the board's medical team. Due to injury, he was forced to miss the three-match ODI series against New Zealand and the first Test against Australia.
Shreyas Iyer, ruled out of the ODI series following a lower back injury sustained during the final Test against Australia, faces uncertainty regarding his participation in the IPL.
