Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) Receives ₹2,210 Crore Order from Ministry of Defence, Boosting BEL Share Price by 5%

Defence PSU Stock BEL share: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured a significant contract from the Defence Ministry, valued at ₹2,210 crore. Under this deal, BEL will supply state-of-the-art Electronic Warfare (EW) Suites for the Indian Air Force's (IAF) Mi 17 V5 helicopters.

Following the announcement of this major deal, BEL shares experienced a sharp increase on Tuesday (April 8th). The company's stock saw a 5.38% surge in early trading on the BSE, reaching ₹287.85 per share. Investors actively purchased this Defence PSU Stock.

BEL and DRDO's Indigenous Technology

According to the company, these EW systems are entirely designed and developed in India by DRDO and CASDIC. BEL will manufacture these systems. This electronic warfare suite is equipped with components such as a Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), Missile Approach Warning System (MAWS), and Counter Measure Dispensing System (CMDS).

These systems enhance the combat safety of helicopters and play a crucial role in defending against enemy offensive technology.

BEL's Total Order Value Exceeds ₹2,803 Crore in FY26

BEL stated that with this latest deal, the company has received a total of ₹2,803 crore worth of orders in the current fiscal year, FY26. The company currently possesses a b and healthy order book.

Impressive 52.5% Growth in Q3FY25

BEL also had a remarkable recent quarter. In Q3FY25, the company's net profit increased by 52.5% year-on-year to ₹1,311 crore, compared to ₹859.6 crore in Q3FY24. This growth is primarily attributed to b operational performance and large orders from the defense sector.
