Indian Stock Market Shows Volatility Despite Global Upswing

The stock market opened with a surge on Thursday, but soon slipped into decline. The Sensex reached 73,657 and the Nifty 22,322. Global markets saw an upswing, but the Indian market remained volatile.

Stock market Update: The domestic stock market opened bly for the second consecutive day on Thursday, but within a short time, the market turned negative. Global markets saw an upswing due to US President Donald Trump's decision to postpone for a month the imposition of tariffs on the automobile sectors of Mexico and Canada. However, the Indian market failed to sustain this gain.

Mixed Trend in Sensex-Nifty

The BSE Sensex opened at 74,308, up 500 points on Thursday, but soon declined. At 9:40 AM, the Sensex was trading at 73,657.80, down 72.43 points or 0.10%.

Nifty 50 also opened with initial strength at 22,476, but soon saw a decline. At 9:40 AM, it was trading at 22,322.35, down 14.95 points or 0.07%.

How did the market perform on Wednesday?

On Wednesday, the Indian stock market saw a tremendous surge. The market registered its biggest single-day gain in a month, causing Nifty 50 to break its streak of ten consecutive days of decline.
