Liver Tumor Diagnosed: Stage 2 Cancer
Deepika and Shoaib's approach to sharing this information is commendable. Through their YouTube channel, Shoaib revealed that Deepika was diagnosed with a tennis ball-sized tumor in her liver. Tests confirmed the tumor was malignant, meaning cancerous. Doctors have classified it as Stage 2 cancer, thankfully not yet spread to other parts of her body.
In the video, Shoaib stated, "We had planned to share this after the surgery, but with rumors circulating, it became necessary to reveal the truth ourselves."
Deepika's Surgery Postponed Due to Flu and Chest Congestion
Shoaib explained that doctors postponed the surgery due to Deepika's current flu and chest congestion. This increases the surgical risk, so the operation will proceed only after controlling the cough and infection, likely within four to five days. He mentioned a change in medication, with recovery now the primary focus.
Deepika Describes the Discovery of Her Illness
Deepika joined the video, explaining in a weak voice, "While Shoaib has been providing updates, I want to share how this began. For some time, I experienced fever, fatigue, and abdominal pain. Initially, I thought it was a minor infection, but tests revealed the liver tumor. Subsequent full-body scans and AFP tests confirmed the cancer diagnosis."
Undeterred Despite the Cancer Diagnosis
Deepika and Shoaib shared the shock of the diagnosis, but emphasized their unwavering spirit. Deepika admitted to fear, but seeing other cancer patients fighting bravely in the hospital gave her strength. "I'm telling myself I will overcome this and return to my normal life," she stated.
Gallbladder Stones Led to the Cancer Discovery
Shoaib explained that Deepika initially sought medical attention for abdominal pain, initially suspected to be gallbladder stones. However, further investigation uncovered the liver tumor. AFP and abdominal scans confirmed the tumor's cancerous nature.
Shoaib added, "When the doctor confirmed the cancerous tumor, everything seemed to stop for a moment. But we decided to fight this battle with courage and hope."
Hope After Surgery
Doctors are optimistic because the cancer is currently confined to the tumor and hasn't spread. The surgery aims to remove the tumor, followed by further medical treatment like chemotherapy or radiation if necessary.
Deepika said, "Doctors have assured me of a full recovery if the surgery is successful. I'm not just fighting for myself, but for my son Ruhaan, my family, and all of you."
Concerns for Son Ruhaan
Shoaib also shared that their son, Ruhaan, is starting to understand his mother's illness. "He's only one year old, but he senses Deepika isn't well. He constantly hugs her and sits beside her. He's a small but precious soldier in our battle," Shoaib said.

Deepika and Shoaib aimed to quell the social media rumors with this video. "Many YouTube channels were speculating without knowing the truth, so we decided to come forward and share the facts," Shoaib explained.
