On Thursday, Jaya Prada shared a picture of her late brother, Raja Babu, on her Instagram account along with an emotional post. She wrote, "With deep sorrow, I inform you all of the passing of my elder brother, Raja Babu. He passed away in Hyderabad at 3:26 PM today. Please remember him in your prayers. Further information will be shared later."

Remembering Old Days on 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'
 
Recently, Jaya Prada appeared on Zee TV's singing reality show, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, where she shared some unknown facts about her famous song, ‘Daphli Walla Daphli Baja’. During a special episode, when contestant Bidisha sang ‘Mujhe Naulakha Mang De Re’ and ‘Daphli Walla Daphli Baja’, Jaya Prada became emotional and said, "I can't express it in words, the way you sang this song reminded me of Lata Didi today. You are truly exceptional."
 
'Daphli Walla' Song Wasn't Initially in 'Sargam'
 
Jaya Prada revealed that the famous song ‘Daphli Walla Daphli Baja’ wasn't initially part of the film ‘Sargam’. She explained, "Actually, many of our songs were already recorded and shot. But on the last day of shooting, everyone decided to film it, and we finished it in just one day."
 
The Song Created a Separate Identity
 
She further shared that when the song was released in theaters, people paused the show to listen to it repeatedly. The song's popularity soared to such an extent that people started recognizing Jaya Prada as ‘Daphli Walla’ instead of her own name.
