Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan, present in Jaipur for the 25th edition of IIFA 2024, created a fun video. The video showcases a humorous debate between them about the true "King" of Indian cinema.
In the video, Karan Johar stated, "
"King means something, Kartik. I am the King of Bollywood, not you."
Kartik immediately retorted,
"If you're the King, then I'm the Yuvaraj (Crown Prince) of Indian cinema."
Karan playfully chuckled,
"Oh God, you're royalty, I'm the real royalty."
Kartik Teases Karan's Transformation
Kartik then jokingly commented on Karan's weight loss, saying,
"How did you get so thin? It seems someone sent Karan and only Johar remains."
Karan didn't hold back, taking a jab at Kartik's film "Shehzada," saying,
"Oh Mr. Shehzada."
Kartik quickly responded,
"Jokes are made on Shehzada."

Past Rift Between the Two
It's worth noting that a rift developed between Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan in 2021 when Kartik was dropped from Karan's film "Dostana 2." He was initially cast opposite Janhvi Kapoor, but was later removed, with his "unprofessional" behavior cited as the reason.
However, in 2023, Karan reconciled with Kartik on his 33rd birthday and announced a film with him.

Regarding the controversy, Kartik stated in an interview,
"When the news came out, I was silent and I still want to remain silent. I am 100% focused on my work and when such controversies arise, I don't get involved much. I don't need to prove anything."
