Arvind Kejriwal attacks BJP and Amit Shah over rising crime in Delhi.

Delhi Chunav 2025: Amidst rising crime in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, the Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Chief Minister of Delhi, made a significant announcement at a press conference on Friday. He stated that if the AAP forms the government in Delhi once again, all Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) will be provided adequate funding to hire security guards. Kejriwal added that the funding will be tailored to each RWA's specific security needs, determining the number of guards required for each.

Financial aid for RWAs to hire guards

Kejriwal also stated that just as the installation of CCTV cameras has helped reduce crime, the deployment of guards will strengthen security measures. He believes that this will enhance local security and help prevent criminal activities.

Kejriwal's attack on BJP

During the press conference, Kejriwal also targeted the BJP and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He said, "Crime has escalated in Delhi, and people are living in fear. Every time I do something for the public, my heart aches, but Amit Shah does nothing." Kejriwal accused the BJP of focusing solely on protests and unproductive issues, neglecting the concerns of the public. He contended that this is why the public does not vote for the BJP.

Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bharadwaj's accusations

Meanwhile, senior AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Saurabh Bharadwaj also leveled serious accusations against the BJP. Sanjay Singh alleged that BJP leaders had sent ₹10,000 each to voters as bribes, but most of this money was pocketed, with voters receiving only ₹1,000-₹1,100. Alongside this accusation, the AAP leaders claimed that the BJP would not be able to defeat Arvind Kejriwal in the elections despite their corruption.

BJP leaders questioned regarding voters' money

The Aam Aadmi Party urged voters to demand the remaining ₹9,000 from BJP leaders when they solicit votes. The AAP leaders asserted that the BJP leaders had defrauded the public and should return the remaining funds.
