Speaking on a vote of thanks in the assembly, he unveiled significant decisions to promote air and road transportation within the state. These announcements include plans for a new airport every 200 kilometers, an airstrip every 150 kilometers, and the construction of six expressways across the state.
Boosting Air Travel
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that under his government's new aviation policy, strategic efforts are underway to strengthen air connectivity in the state. This policy will see the construction of a new airport every 200 kilometers. An airstrip will be developed every 150 kilometers. A multipurpose helipad cum sports stadium will be constructed in each assembly constituency. This initiative aims not only to connect remote areas of the state to major cities but also to boost tourism and trade.
Six New Expressways for High-Speed Connectivity
The Chief Minister also announced the construction of six major expressways to strengthen the state's road infrastructure. These expressways will not only facilitate transportation but also accelerate the development of various regions in the state. The proposed expressways are:
1. Narmada Pragati Path – Will connect the state's economic centers.
2. Vindhya Express Path – Will play a crucial role in the development of the Vindhya region.
3. Malwa-Nimar Express Path – Will empower the Malwa and Nimar regions.
4. Bundelkhand Vikas Path – Will improve connectivity in the Bundelkhand region.
5. Madhya Bharat Vikas Path – Will connect the central parts of the state.
6. Atal Pragati Path – Will unlock new opportunities for the entire state.
Increase in Ladli Bahna Yojana
The Chief Minister also announced an increase in the financial assistance under the 'Ladli Bahna Yojana' for women. He stated that:
- The scheme was launched with a monthly assistance of ₹1,000. On Raksha Bandhan, it was increased to ₹1,250. In the coming years, it will be gradually increased to ₹3,000 per month.
A New Wave of Development in the State
CM Mohan Yadav also stated that his government is committed to bringing significant changes in various sectors like health, energy, forests, tourism, and transportation. This new plan by the Madhya Pradesh government will not only strengthen the state's infrastructure but also create employment opportunities and play a crucial role in establishing the state as a developed region.
