Mayawati Expels Nephew Akash Anand from BSP
UP Politics: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has expelled her nephew, Akash Anand, from the party. This action follows mounting internal controversies surrounding Akash. Prior to this expulsion, on March 2nd, Mayawati had already removed Akash from all significant party positions. This decision comes on the heels of the expulsion of Akash's father-in-law, Ashok Sidhartha.
Mayawati's Firm Stance Against Akash Anand
Mayawati announced Akash Anand's expulsion from the BSP's All India meeting via a post on the social media platform X. She stated that his removal was due to his perceived influence by his father-in-law, prioritizing his familial interests over the party's well-being.
Mayawati further wrote that Akash should have shown remorse for his actions, but instead displayed a largely self-serving and arrogant response. Following this assessment, she expelled him and advised the party to distance itself from such individuals.

In another significant decision at Sunday's meeting, Mayawati appointed her brother, Anand Kumar, as the National Coordinator, following Akash Anand's removal from all party positions. This move is reportedly aimed at addressing internal conflicts and improving discipline within the BSP.
