Following the Pulwama terrorist attack, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to brief him on the nation's security preparedness. During this meeting, they discussed the post-attack situation and security measures.

New Delhi: The terrorist attack in Pulwama on April 22nd has reignited the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir, with 26 tourists falling victim to the terrorists. Following the attack, the Indian government has immediately begun taking steps to further strengthen its security measures.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the nation's security preparedness. The meeting lasted 40 minutes, during which information regarding the steps taken by the Indian Army and security forces was conveyed to PM Modi.

40-Minute Meeting Between Rajnath Singh and PM Modi

Prior to meeting PM Modi, Rajnath Singh met with Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan in Delhi on April 23rd. In this meeting, both leaders discussed the post-Pulwama attack military strategy and potential military action against Pakistan. Following this, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with the Prime Minister, where in-depth discussions were held on security preparedness and overall defence strategy.

Sources indicate that Rajnath Singh informed Prime Minister Modi that the Indian Army and security forces have intensified their overall strategies to counter terrorism. He explained that the Indian Army and Border Security Force (BSF) are continuously conducting operations against terrorists, particularly in the Jammu and Kashmir region.

Considering Military Action Against Pakistan

This meeting is considered extremely significant in the context of Pakistan's continuous violation of the Line of Control (LoC) ceasefire. The Indian Army has also responded appropriately to these attacks. The meeting between the Defence Minister and PM Modi discussed various aspects of potential military action against Pakistan.

It is believed that following such attacks, India's strategy may undergo some significant changes to send a clear message to Pakistan regarding its actions.

Meeting with CDS General Anil Chauhan

Prior to the meeting between Rajnath Singh and PM Modi, the Defence Minister also met with CDS General Anil Chauhan. In this meeting, both discussed the post-Pulwama attack military strategy. General Anil Chauhan stated that the Indian Army has not only strengthened its strategies to eliminate terrorism but has also increased the vigilance of security forces on the Pakistan border.

Furthermore, the CDS stated that the Indian Army is fully prepared to take decisive action against terrorists. He also mentioned that Indian soldiers are mentally and physically prepared to face any challenge.

Pakistan's Actions and the Indian Army's Strong Response

During the meeting between the Defence Minister and PM Modi, concerns were raised regarding Pakistan's firing across the Line of Control. The Pakistani Army is continuously violating the ceasefire and firing into Indian territory without provocation. On the nights of April 26th and 27th, Pakistan also fired into Jammu and Kashmir, to which the Indian Army responded bly. Indian security forces have sent a clear message to Pakistan that any infiltration into Indian territory will not be tolerated.

Indian Navy's Anti-Ship Missile Test

To further strengthen the nation's security preparedness, the Indian Navy recently successfully tested an anti-ship missile. This test is being seen by the Indian Navy as a significant step towards ensuring maritime security. The missile was launched from an Indian Naval vessel, proving the Indian Navy's readiness to meet any maritime challenge.

Naval officials say this missile test demonstrates the Indian military's enhanced technological capabilities and accuracy. The Navy believes its entire team is capable of responding to any maritime situation. This successful test also sends a message that the Indian security forces will not only thwart any challenge coming via sea routes but will also leave no stone unturned in protecting the nation's maritime borders.
