Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Prayagraj today to attend the closing ceremony of the Kumbh Mela. He will participate in the official closing ceremony and express his gratitude to the pilgrims and officials for their contributions.
The district administration has finalized all preparations in view of the Chief Minister's visit.
Chief Minister Yogi's Schedule
• Time and Location: Chief Minister Yogi will arrive in Prayagraj at 11:30 AM from Lucknow and return to Lucknow at 7:00 PM.
• Meeting with Boatmen and UPSRTC Drivers: Chief Minister Yogi will interact with boatmen and UPSRTC drivers in Prayagraj.
• Visit and Puja at Hanuman Temple: Chief Minister Yogi will visit and offer prayers at the Hanuman Temple.
• Interaction with Media: Chief Minister Yogi will interact with media personnel at the Digital Media Center.
• Meeting with Police Personnel: Chief Minister Yogi will interact with police personnel deployed at the Kumbh Mela.
• Meeting with Administrative and Police Officials: Chief Minister Yogi will hold a meeting with administrative and police officials.
1.5 Crore Pilgrims Bathed in Sangam during Kumbh Mela
Over 1.5 crore pilgrims took a holy dip in the Sangam on Wednesday during the Kumbh Mela. A total of over 66.30 crore pilgrims have bathed in the Sangam until February 26th.
Statement by Prayagraj DM
Expressing satisfaction with the security and management of pilgrims, the District Magistrate of Prayagraj, Ravindra Kumar Mandar, stated upon the conclusion of the Kumbh Mela, "Pilgrims from across India and the world participated in the Kumbh Mela, and all adhered to the arrangements, protocols, and regulations. I thank all the pilgrims."
He further added, "As the Kumbh Mela concludes, we will ensure the safe return of pilgrims to their homes. Simultaneously, temporary arrangements will be removed properly. Pilgrims visit the Sangam Ghat throughout the year, and ensuring their safety and cleanliness is our priority."
He informed that until 8 PM on Wednesday, 1.53 crore pilgrims had taken a holy bath in Prayagraj, and a total of 66.30 crore pilgrims had bathed in the Sangam during the entire Kumbh Mela.
