Warning to Iran

The U.S. issued a b warning not only to the Houthi rebels but also to Iran, their supporter. Trump stated that Iran must immediately cease its support for the Houthis or face serious consequences.

U.S. Issues Stern Warning

Following the strike, Trump stated, "I authorized military action against Houthi terrorists in Yemen. The Houthis have spread terror against the United States and other nations in the Red Sea. Biden's lenient approach emboldened them. We will not tolerate this anymore."

Attacks on U.S. Vessels Unacceptable

Trump noted that for the past year, U.S. commercial vessels have been unable to safely navigate the Red Sea's Suez Canal route. The last U.S. warship to transit this route, four months ago, was subjected to over a dozen Houthi attacks. Trump made it clear that Houthi attacks on U.S. ships will no longer be tolerated.
