Water Returned to the Dry Well When Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi, there was a severe water shortage. Wells had dried up. The people conveyed their distress to Baba. He asked them to place a single drop of water on his palm and then drop it into the well. Amazingly, the drop blossomed into a stream, replenishing the well's water level.
The Resuscitation of Sai Baba One day, Sai Baba told Mahalsapati that if he did not return within three days, his body should be buried. Sai Baba's breath ceased, and people assumed his passing. Yet, Mahalsapati protected Sai Baba's body. After three days, Sai Baba returned to life, filling the hearts of the people with joy.
The Cessation of the Rainstorm Once, during their visit to Shirdi, Rai Bahadur and his family sought Sai Baba's blessings. As they prepared to depart, a heavy downpour began. They pleaded with Sai Baba to stop the rain. Miraculously, the rain ceased, allowing them to safely reach home.
Extinguishing the Field Fire Legend has it that a devotee's crop caught fire in Shirdi. Villagers struggled to extinguish the blaze. Sai Baba, with water in hand, promptly extinguished the fire.
Milk from a Black Cow Sai Baba's guru instructed him to obtain milk from a black cow. Sai Baba touched the cow, then instructed its owner to milk it. The cow yielded milk, which Sai Baba brought to his guru.
Sweet Fruits on a Neem Tree Sai Baba practiced yoga under a neem tree in Shirdi. When he did not receive alms, he would chew the bitter neem leaves. It is said that the neem tree bore both bitter and sweet fruits on different parts of the tree.
Saving a Child from Drowning It is believed that a three-year-old child fell into a well. Villagers rushed to the well, and an unseen hand held the child until they could safely retrieve her. This incident is attributed to Sai Baba's grace, preventing the child's drowning.
