Crazxy Box Office Collection Day 1: To challenge 'Chhaowa,' which has reigned supreme at the box office for the past 15 days, Soham Shah's suspense thriller 'Crazy' was released in theaters on February 28th. Following the success of the re-release of 'Tumbbad,' there was considerable anticipation for 'Crazy' among the audience. However, the film's initial performance revealed its true standing.

A Thriller Packed with Suspense

This 93-minute film kept viewers engaged until the very end. Soham Shah's performance in the lead role garnered praise. Critics lauded the film's story and direction, but this didn't significantly impact its box office performance.

Did 'Crazy' manage to surpass 'Chhaowa'?

While there was excitement surrounding 'Crazy,' it appeared significantly less impactful than 'Chhaowa.' The film had a slow start at the box office and failed to meet expectations. However, it did manage to surpass the Day 1 collection of 'Tumbbad,' which was released seven years ago.

Day 1 Box Office Collection

According to preliminary Sacnilk data, 'Crazy' earned only 90 lakh rupees on its opening day at the domestic box office. The earnings were significantly lower than anticipated. The film's future now hinges entirely on its weekend collection. If it performs well on Saturday and Sunday, its fate won't mirror that of 'Tumbbad'.

'Crazy' surpasses 'Tumbbad'

Released in 2018, 'Tumbbad' earned only 65 lakh rupees on its opening day and was considered a box office failure at the time. However, its re-release last year saw it achieve remarkable earnings of approximately 35 to 40 crore rupees. 'Crazy' outperformed 'Tumbbad' on its opening day but proved weaker against 'Chhaowa'.

The Film's Story and Star Cast

'Crazy' is a suspense thriller depicting a father's struggle to save his daughter. Produced under the T-Series banner, the film is directed by Girish Kohli. Soham Shah, Unnati Surana, and Shilpa Shukla play significant roles.

Will 'Crazy' show its mettle over the weekend?

All eyes are now on the weekend collection. If 'Crazy' performs well on Saturday and Sunday, it could establish a b box office presence. Otherwise, it may share the fate of 'Tumbbad,' with initially weak collections.
